Dear Children of the Light,
This morning, I began my sermon with, “Something is going on!” Of course, many of us are wondering what is going on with this “demonically influenced” 2020. A “Politicized Plague.” Inciting riots in the streets of America. Deep State and Big Tech censorship. Then, the recent election that many suspect to be fraudulent. Add to this, the hierarchy seemed to “normalize” the fake “c”atholicism of Joe Biden.
With evil arrogantly claiming victory in full view (2020 vision), we are either about to see the complete destruction of our culture, or we may be seeing the crash of the ruling class “New World Order” cabal.
Following the phony election, the call to prayer went out to pray “Jericho Marches” around all of the Capitals throughout America.
In the midst of all of this, I found it, at the very least, “interesting” that tomorrow marks the 100th anniversary of the first nation – Russia – to legalize abortion.
And so, where do we find Jesus in today’s Gospel? That’s right, He is in JERICHO. He was going to just pass by, but he stayed to convert a rich man. He stayed and dined with him. The rich man “turned his life over” to Jesus. From that point on, his “everything” was to please God.
Then, in the First Reading, we find the iconic reading from Revelation:
“I know your works;
I know that you are neither cold nor hot.
I wish you were either cold or hot.
So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold,
I will spit you out of my mouth.” Rev. 3:15-16
My friends … this reading from Revelation points to the “heart of the matter” … this reading goes to the “spiritual plague” we have been suffering in our times. Pope St. Pius V went so far as to say, “All the evil in the world is due to lukewarm Catholics.” Pope St. Pius X showed no less disdain with, “All the strength of Satan’s reign is due to the easygoing weakness of Catholics.” Wow! All the evil in the world? All the strength of Satan’s reign? Spit you out of my mouth? The level of fury toward the lukewarm is alarming. Why?
