Let the Little Children Come to Me!

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14).

I love “little ones” SO MUCH, and they pick up on that. This is little Elise Heitzkey. After Mass this morning, she was reaching out to me, and then she just melted in my arms and didn’t want to disconnect. I ended up carrying little Elise out to her car seat, and there was a tearful good-bye (by both of us 😉 ). I can’t describe how much I love the little ones.

They Call Me, “The Baby Whisperer”

Also, I have a “trick” (that’s what I call it 😉 ). I can get any crying baby to stop crying. I really can’t explain it. A theory I have is that my low voice is similar to what babies heard mama’s voice sound like while they were in the womb. But, that’s just a theory … I really don’t know why, but they always stop crying … oftentimes, just as the baby is being passed to me. I joke with the parents that they can call me in the middle of the night, if they want … I charge $1.75 per hour. 😉 But, seriously, if I ever got a call like that, I would not hesitate going. 🙂

“Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word; always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love.” ― St. Thérèse de Lisieux

St. Thérèse de Lisieux, pray for us!
